System Requirements

Mac

  • G4/G5 or Intel processor (Intel recommended)
  • 1GB RAM
  • Latest Tiger or Leopard update
  • iTunes 8.0.2 or later
  • Latest Java version for your OS

To make sure that you have the latest Java version installed, please run the Apple software updater (Apple menu -> Software Update). If you have trouble determining whether your system meets the requirements, please check the Installation FAQs.

Please be advised, that while beaTunes runs on G4/G5 processors, it runs a lot better on Intel Macs.

Windows

  • 2GHz Pentium 4 or faster
  • 1GB RAM
  • Windows XP/Vista
  • iTunes 8.0.2 or later
  • Java >= 6 Update 12, 32 Bit

You can get the current Java version for free from Sun. Alternatively, instead of relying on a systemwide installation of Java, you can also simply download beaTunes bundled with a private Java Runtime Environement (JRE).

beaTunes makes use of Amazon's™ and MusicIP's™ web service offerings and therefore works better with a fast, always on Internet connection.
